Our family first bought Laggan Farm in 1970, when Granny & Grandpa McConchie moved here from Mossyard. Since then Laggan has been farmed by Murray, Kerr and Ian McConchie. In 2007, Duncan wanted to move home and it was agreed that the family would diversify part of Laggan farm to form an Outdoor centre. The first activity was Archery, which took place in a cow shed during the summer months and then went on the road to local school and sports halls when the cows came back inside.
In 2008, they managed to pursuade the farmer at Laggan Farm to part with his beloved Hay shed and a few fields and this has become home to the centre. Since then they have added new activities each year, starting with Clay Pigeon Shooting, then Mountain Boarding and Zorbing and in 2011 we purchased Segways. 2012 saw the installation of the Zip and in 2013/2014 they have been focusing on improving our facilities, with the introduction of a 40 seat cafe, new reception building and brand new toilet block. The team will be looking into new activities in the coming years to add to existing offering.
